Serenity Oaks Equine Sanctuary (SOES) is now Serenity Oaks Thoroughbred Aftercare (SOTA). Since our founding in 2019, our organization has grown and evolved. While our commitment to Thoroughbreds remains unchanged, our focus has shifted to aftercare and adoption, reflecting our mission to retrain, rehome and provide meaningful second careers for these incredible horses.
Serenity Oaks is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing exceptional aftercare for off-the-track thoroughbreds and retiring thoroughbred broodmares. Our mission is to ensure that every thoroughbred, whether transitioning into a show home or a companion home, receives the best possible retirement and a loving environment. We are committed to finding suitable homes for each horse, while also implementing additional safety measures and educational programs to protect thoroughbreds. For horses that may not be eligible for second homes due to advanced medical conditions or age, we provide lifelong care.
